What kind of accommodation do you recommend?
While we specialize in 4 and 5-star accommodation and work with trusted partners, the choice is entirely yours. Want to do some camping ? No problem, we can make it happen.
Please note that in some locations, luxury high-end hotels may not be available. This is often a sign that you're deep in the French countryside. In these cases, you can chose either stay in a more modest venue or take a transfer to another location.
How does the custom trip creation work?
We start by listening to your travel needs, interests and desires to understand what you're looking for in your trip. Then, we handle all the research and planning, creating you a tailor-made itinerary that maximizes your experience, while eliminating stress, hassle, and countless hours of planning. Our daily itineraries include all activities, transfers and accommodation, along with extra experience ideas and travel tips to give you flexibility while on the go.
Here's how the process works:

Get in Touch: Send us a message via our contact form or email, so we can understand some initial details and information about your trip and schedule a follow-up call.

Follow-up Call: During our follow-up call (phone or video – whichever you prefer), we'll go deeper into your travel needs, interests and itinerary and experience preferences.

Research & Itinerary Creation: We take everything we've learned and craft a customized itinerary tailored to your interests.

Review & Refinements: Once your itinerary is ready, we'll review it together and make any final adjustments.

Final Itinerary Delivery: Once finalized, a digital copy with all the trip detail, including the GPS files for any hiking or biking.

Trip Execution.

Self-Guided Trip: You take it from there - handling bookings- and enjoying the trip at your own pace.

Guided Trip: We handle all the bookings and coordinate with our local partners to ensure a seamless experience.
DEPOSIT : A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to schedule your follow-up call. This deposit will be applied as a credit towards the cost of your trip.
On-Trip Support: No matter which option you choose, we'll assist you in case anything goes wrong during your travels. On Self-Guided trips, you'll have access to our in-country support helpline, while on Guided trips, you'll be able to address any issues with your guide.
Can you help plan only part of our trip?
Yes! During our first conversation you can let us know how many days you are looking for us to help design. We are happy to craft itineraries for every day of your travels or just a select few where you need a little extra help on ideas and options. Our minimum requirement is two days.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is based on the number of days we design.
SELF-GUIDED: After our first conversation, if you decide to work with us and after our first chat, a 30% deposit is payable to secure our custom itinerary services. The remaining balance is due and payable once your itinerary is finalized. All prices are in $USD.

2 to 7 days = $190 per day

more than 7 days = $170 per day
GUIDED: We plan, book and take care of everything. Following our first conversation, we will send you a customized trip price. Once this is accepted, a 30% deposit is payable. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your departure.

Can I change my mind last minute?
We understand that sometimes you might need to alter plans or simply change your mind. This is no problem throughout the consultation process, and we are happy to work with you to determine the trip that makes the most sense for you. However, once an itinerary has been accepted, there will likely be charges involved to change it. We are always transparent with our pricing and fees and will work with you to find a solution.
How long does the itinerary creation process take?
Following the consultation and decision on the region, it takes approximately 7 to 10 days for an initial itinerary to be created. After that, the turnaround time depends on the duration of your trip, as well as your availability to review the itinerary and provide feedback.

We know the best time to visit, the most authentic experiences, and the top local guides. Our strong relationships with local partners also allow us to secure exclusive deals and create more personalized experiences than larger operations.
Cancellation policy
Mistral Travels reserves the right to cancel trips due to force majeure (unforeseen events beyond our control) or third party providers —such as hotels or transport services, fail to honor their reservations. In these cases, we will refund your trip price. However, Mistral Travels is not responsible for any additional expenses you may incur, such as flights, travel inssurance, or costs resulting from delays, cancellation or illness.There are no refunds for arriving late or leaving a trip early
Cancellation fees:
If you choose to cancel your trip, the following fees apply.

More than 90 days prior to departure : $300

60 to 90 days prior to departure : 30% of the trip cost

30 to 60 days prior to departure : 60% of the trip cost

Less than 30 days or less : 100% of the trip cost (no refund)
Rescheduling:
If you wish to reschedule your trip, we will do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability.
